We have designed and manufactured two devices for QC of side and axial runout of railway wheelsets at RYKO a.s. Děčín Czechia. The measuring is contactless using triangulating laser sensors and the device is operated by only one worker using a 22-inch touchscreen. The first device in pre-repair inspection can measure the wheelset mounted on centering pins, rolling road, or assembled. The device in post-repair inspection is used to measure the wheelset in its fully repaired state ready to be mounted back to the carriage. The data is gathered using IBR Comgage and automatically exported to customers’s own production control system.
